Overview
At The Migrant Tutor, we are committed to providing high-quality tutoring services. Please read this policy carefully before enrolling, as it outlines our terms regarding refunds and lesson cancellations.
No Refunds
All fees paid for tutoring sessions are strictly non-refundable. Once a payment has been made, whether for a single session, a block of sessions, or a monthly package, no refund will be issued under any circumstances, including but not limited to:
- A student missing a scheduled session
- A student deciding to stop lessons partway through a paid period
- Dissatisfaction with a tutor or session content (please raise these concerns with us directly so we can address them)
- Change of personal circumstances
Cancelling Ongoing Lessons
If a student (or parent/guardian) wishes to stop taking lessons, one calendar month’s written notice is required.
- Notice must be given in writing (email or WhatsApp message to us is acceptable).
- Lessons and applicable fees will continue for the full notice period, regardless of whether sessions are attended.
- The notice period begins on the date we receive your written notice, not the date you intend to stop attending.
- Failure to provide the required notice will result in continued billing for one month from the date lessons are actually stopped.
Missed Sessions
- Sessions missed by the student without at least 24 hours’ notice will be forfeited and charged in full.
- We may, at our discretion, offer a make-up session if reasonable notice is given, but this is not guaranteed.
Rescheduling
We understand that circumstances change. If you need to reschedule a session, please contact us as early as possible. We will do our best to accommodate a new time, subject to tutor availability.
Sale or Promotional Packages
Discounted or promotional lesson packages are subject to the same no-refund policy and are non-transferable to another student unless otherwise agreed in writing.
